You know that aluminum(?) foam insulation? We're planning to put it on the roof. The house doesnt have a ceiling yet and since it's summer, the heat is almost unbearable. Will it reduce the heat if we put the insulation like a temporary ceiling?
Construction of the ceiling is impossible at the moment.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Yes it will greatly reduce the extreme heat coming from the galvanized roofing. I'm saying this coz
I've gone and been in the same situation before. May I suggest installing the 1/2" thick double sided
aluminum insulation, its much much better than the thinner ones sold in the market.

Also in your rooms, try to install exhaust fan to extract or draw out the hot air inside, this will greatly help.

Hope this helps ! :whistle::thumbup:

Mam, don't use it as a temporary ceiling. Let it stay there even if you are already prepared to install the ceiling.

I just wonder why installing the ceiling is "impossible at the moment". Because of ongoing prep work for ventilation, electricals, etc?

Pwedeng pwede basta tama ang pagkakainstall. Kung wala pa kayo kisame, pwede siya i-fasten sa trusses pero dapat may space between the roof and the insulation.

And tama yung isang suggestion. Maglagay ng exhaust fan to draw out hot air. Google mo yung structure ng poultry farms. Same principle applies.

Yup, it will greatly reduce the heat coming from the roof. A lot of buildings are setup/constructed like this without ceiling.
