Re: My DIY Concrete Mouldings Creation

bro you have one of a kind skills, hirap gawin nyan, lalo na free hand, ang alam ko ginagawa yan by moldings, but you done it free hand, hindi nga ako makapaniwala. gumawa lang ng looong straight line sa cement takes a lot of patience and guts, you are truly multi-talented, one of a kind ka bro, ingatan mo yang kamay mo, pa-insured mo mga hands mo :p
one of a kind ka bro, ang galing...

Re: My DIY Concrete Mouldings Creation

@ossie,

i worked before on masonry and tiling and did a concrete moulding.. the technique i copied from the foreman years ago similar to yours but without the guide angle bar..

it was when we refurbished the old house...i made just one piece of 6 feet end cap moulding with a crappy result...

i ended up buying a pre cast instead! haha!

with a moulding that big you made, i simply wonder.

you are a different beast bro!

mabangis!

i wonder why you are still here in pinas?!

with your works...you can easily land a job in australia, canada or elsewhere better than here.

unless you are happy here..and that makes everything worthwhile.

Re: My DIY Concrete Mouldings Creation

GOOD EVENING sir ossie, you have impressed me with your skills in your previous post regarding a very practical tool, "the poor mans metal
bender" and now again I see another skill you posses, its just so fantastic and so fascinating see the results of you finished
concrete mouldings, you have talent there sir ossie.

As a practicing artist or artists we love seeing talents in people or individuals putting it to good use. I personally love creating things
with my bare hands too whether on canvas, paper, wood, metal, or concrete for that matter. Artistic aspects are always infused in our
creations using colors, textures, designs etc etc.

Sir ossie, I would love to learn from you, your skills on concrete
moulding creations if in case you give seminars on this subject in the future, kahit meron fee.

This is just perfect for me coz hindi parin tapos bahay ko na pinapagawa. I would sometimes also dab into concrete plastering, actually 2 years ago nag build ako ng annex dirty kitchen for my wife
and up to now still in progress. Motif of that kitchen is wood and
concrete but actually its made of all concrete and steal para walang
anay. Th concrete beam and two posts inside I plastered it with
pure cement to make them look big logs supporting the roof
and the firewall. Also not yet finished with tiling the concrete
kitchen counter, nag iinfuse kasi ako ng design.

Maybe I'll post some pics so you'll see what I am talking about
Congrats with your talent.;)

Re: My DIY Concrete Mouldings Creation

5 kilo of cement and binistay na buhangin is enough, but if you are going to try it during the session, we need more than 5 kilo each.

5 to 10 inches lenght of moulding as sample i think is ok for you to see how to make mouldings.

or i can make a step by step tutorial with pictures and i will post it here.

Re: My DIY Concrete Mouldings Creation

Gud pm sir ossie, was not able post a reply yesterday coz kinda busy.

Yes yes it will be great if you could post some step by step tutorial pics of your concrete
moulding creations, I'm pretty sure many DIYers will learn and benefit from the instructions.

Curious lang sir, what kind of template are you using, is it made of plywood or metal plate?

Sori sir ossie mapapagastos tuloy kayo at baka maaabala pa, any way naman I'm not rushing or obliging you to spare us of your time BUT if its just fine with you then
thank you very much.

Interested DIYers will be watching and learning.
