Hi. First timer here. Not sure if this is the right forum to post this so apologies. Thanks for understanding.

Anyway, my problem began trying to repaint a computer table (plywood). It was originally painted with enamel afaik (had a pro do it). I sanded it, put flat wall enamel as primer (can't find proper wood primer anywhere near) then painted it with a dark blue QDE using a "fur" roller. This was my first mistake. The roller left fur on the paint. Lots of it. And I didn't notice until it was too late. My second mistake is that the finish is too glossy. It reflects LED light too much, which looks cool at first, but is really eye straining.

So I sanded it again after 2 days. Applied flat wall again. I actually wanted to try acrylic on it, as the paint guys on Wilcon said it was ok, but I've read conflicting advice online so I'm holding off on that.

But I have been looking online for days, and asked the paint rep at the nearest Ace hardware, I can't seem to find any locally available enamel paint with any other finish other than high gloss. There's flat white and black, but flat is really hard to clean, and I prefer other colors. I've found Boysen semi-gloss enamel 200, I'm not sure if they offer color mixing for it though.

Any tip would be really appreciated. TIA

When buying enamel paint, any brand for that matter, try the semi gloss paint, it may suit your purpose.

By the way, can you introduce yourself, we have a Member Introductions at the lower portion of the index
page, its just below the Gazebo Forum. We'd like to know you better as a new member of this forum.

Thank you.

Erm, that's kind of what I'm looking for, but unable to find. So far I've found these enamels:

Boysen QDE - high gloss only
Davies gloss-it & aqua gloss-it - high gloss/gloss only
Boysen 200 & Davies 600 - semi gloss, but white only
Boysen flat black
Google street view
Nippon enamel - high gloss and soft matt (flat?)

Seems my only options are semi-gloss white, flat black or flat colors from Nippon. Boysen factory mixes semi-gloss enamel, but it takes 2 weeks (which I don't have). I can't use flat, it's really hard to clean. Can't use black or white either. Right now I might just go for lighter shade gloss, since I don't seem to have much choice (besides tinting semi-gloss whites myself, which I don't know how to do).

Not sure if egg shell finish is available in the Philippines (not glossy or semi-glossy) but that would apply to the finish you were looking for.

Just a little update. I tried joey81's suggestion, used aqua gloss-it & thinned it (read somewhere this might reduce the gloss), the result is alright, the gloss is a lot less than oil-based enamel. Thanks again guys for the tips.
