I had PVC material installed for the ceiling of my garage but in a period of 2 years, 2 typhoons had blown away practically all of the PVC which were installed using rivets on the steel frames. Perhaps the wind dynamics in my garage has something to do with it but I also think that because the PVC vibrates which causes gaps between the slats, that also causes them to be torn away by the wind. I might have to close off one side of the garage so that the wind will not pass through but my wife wishes otherwise because she prefers the garage to be well-ventilated.
I might be left with only changing the ceiling material as the solution. Other than plywood, is there any other material that mgiht be more durable? I chose PVC for the first and second installation because of its resistance to mildew and not having to paint it. But it is so pliable that it flutters in the wind.
Thanks in advance for your inputs and advice.
