Re: Cabinet

Bro rims258,

To end your problem with water seepage (namamasang concrete wall), apply two or three coats of
DRYLOK by UGL, this can be purchased at mall hardware stores or home depots, medyo may kamahalan pero sulit ang finish at gamit. That's what I used for the concrete walls of my tool room.

Bro Jay,

If you do not want the stark white effect then yes you can top coat the finished surface with
the Boysen semi-gloss latex (acrylic paint for concrete) mixed with tinting color of your choice. 😉

You need to work on the source of the leak before you treat the concrete with water sealers or any protective coating. Though a lot of companies claim that their products can control or even stop the leak the truth is water will find its way no matter what. First solve the leak then you solve the bleeding or staining thus controlled molds and mildew. By the way if your cabinet is MDF based then you are in danger of being exposed to emissions of the formaldehyde glue not to mention high levels of molds and mildew once the substrate starts to absorb moisture. If it is just one side of the wall that is exposed to the elements then water sealers like what Rosy mentioned will work plus of course a suitable top coat to boot. Good luck.:)
