updating my door build project...

door jamb and the frame and panel are all finished and installed, side walls as well as the top are all plastered and glass blocks are added...
waiting for the main door to be finished.

You ended up din pala na to install glass blocks on top of the huge door jamb, remember we talked about it the last time we were at WF's wood shop ? It turned out much better than plain concrete plastering. Ayos na pinto na lang kailangan !!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 😉

by the moment we've talk about it,nagsend na agad ako ng message sa person in charge of the installation to put glass blocks on top,

talaga! wala kasing budget,
actually, may nagdonate lang kasi ng glass blocks, if you can notice, it's the cheapest glass blocks design available...

about the stained glass,now i know whom to ask for,
kasi may mga areas na may planong kaming lagyan ng stained glass...
of course if the budget fits...:hockey1:

Cheap or not what is important is it came from their heart. Now lets figure out who amongst our brethren can share a colorful heart, eheste, stain glass for your other church needs. Bro Jon and his church mates really could use all the help they could get. Any volunteers? Mahiyain yang si Jonathan kaya ako na naglakas loob magbanggit. :D:p:)

naalala ko fence project tuloy ni ryobi.

pero alam ko mabangis ka din sa metalworks eh..tyak mas maarte pa...har har

actually marami na ang naitulong ni sir willyfernando sa church door build, intruducing the african iroko and using all his powertools is a very big help, isama na natin ang expertise ni sir apol.

Yes V, pag naikasa na ni bro jon yung 2 door panels, talagang out of place na yang makeshift na steel gate na yan. I know naman na temporary lang naman yan eh !!

Anyway, I an trying to research on stain glass application/procedure so perhaps I can contribute something to their church, eh parang matatagalan pa, need pa to be fully educated on the matter but if this will not push through I have other things in mind to donate sa brad natin na si Jon for their church, I will not mention it muna, surprise na lang yun, hehehe :D:tounge2:

HEHEHEHE, Yes bro Jon, sasali na rin ako, nag sabi na ako kay Timber as support for Bosch and his efforts for cab1net, hindi palang ako nag reregister, parang nalimutan ko na password ko sa kabilang site !!!

it has been a slow progress, not with the habagat ( monsoon rain ) that hit our land...
thank God that our very dear friend willyF are not seriously affected by the habagat, save for occasional evacuation...

for the resumption of the build...
mortising and tenoning stage...

for the tenoning, using the radial arm saw...

1st cut, zeroing in on the depth of cut...

then a cut at the neck of the tenon...

then cut all the way through...

trimming the tenons...
there are ways of trimming the tenon for fitting to the mortise, like planing and paring the excess...
but with the size of the project, it is very difficult to figure out how...
but sir apol was kind enough to share his expertise on finding and marking how to remove the excess the easy way...

and now we have the frame...

not just one, but two frames...

still long way to go...but slowly and very surely, thinks are on the go and on the right track...
