no need for a shaper, since the design is of simple straight lines...
though sir willyfernando's shop has several shaper's in his arsenal...

Re: church's door project...need your help in building.

completing the tenons of the middle stiles...

after completing and test fitting the mullion or the mid stiles'
the doors are already showing huge progress...

the project are giving us some ideas of how will be the outcome of the door design.

the door is almost finished,
putting a simple panel in between the stiles will do the job right away.

nakakawala ng pagod ang outcome ng projects na ito...
although not yet finished, but with the outcome, you can feel that the finish product are within arms reach...

excitement is in the air...
i can't wait for the final results...:cheerleader:

and heavy duty hinges are the ones recommended by sir willyF.

the initial plans are multiple solidwood panels and rails in between the mullion.

yes sana maka join ka sa fun...and visit also sir willyF's shop and see for yourself the beauty of the iroko.
at hindi lang iroko ang kahoy nya...
meron dussi ( don't know the spelling or the exact name ) , walnut, maple, and some local yakal, narra etc...
as you can see, seldom or almost impossible that you see a good wood out in the market.
and i already told sir willyF na bibili ako ulit ng iroko after this door project.

me too, can't wait for the door installations...

Not really surprised on account of IROKO's Average dry weight is about 42 lbs/ft3 (675 kg/m3).:D Here's a link to get a short info on IROKO.. http://www.wood-database.com/lumber-identification/hardwoods/iroko/ :glassesf:

Re: church's door project...need your help in building.

cleaning the grooves with the use of a chisel...

chisel making good use as a scraper, to flatten the grooves.
