I want to share this my DIY floor tiles I thought I’ve lost this pic. From my hard drive…
Replacing new tiles and salvaging the old tiles the reason why I should replace my old tiles because my house has been renovate last 2008 and need more additional tiles because some part of the house has been extended . I’ve try to looking to the market but it is no longer available its almost 8 years ago the day I purchase so need to buy a new one….
here is my previous floor tiles 50 x 50 cm
I started last jan. 2010 to replace new tiles first is salvaging the old tiles sayang naman kung babasagin ko lahat and throw it away…. try to salvage the tiles buy cutting the tiles grout using angle grinder with water just to prevent spreading the dust . After the grout has been cut and then I used my ozito demolition hammer drill put the tip of the chisel to the edged of tiles and then hammer it and you will heard a high pitch sound of the tiles. it means that the tiles has been pop up it was so easy to remove it because the adhesive that they used by a contractor is just a cement and fine sand I have no idea about real tiles adhesive like ABC cement I’m just follow to the contractor for what material they will be used. never heard or recommended for tiles adhesive like ABC cement.

And then apply with bofix ABC cement adhesive tiles. sorry no pic during I installed a floor tiles . Spreads the bofix at the floor with the use of a Notch trowel teeth of ½ and then apply also at the back of tiles and then place it and use rubber hammer the tiles just to spread and compress the tile adhesive and level . The distance between the tiles is the thick of NT cutter blade
