Hi
I would like to seek advice on how to stop our firewall from leaking water pag umuulan
Yung exterior wall ng firewall ay naka rough finish then yung interior is naka smooth finish, the problem is hindi na namin ma smooth finish yung likod dahil may bakod na ang kapitbahat at di na kasya ang tao, i did a few research and found out about Boysen Flexibond, is there a chance na masolutionan ang aming problema sa firewall water leak, if not, any tips or advice help is highly appreciated

Re: Firewall Leaking Problem
Kung makapag upload ka ng pictures, mas matutulungan ka ng mga kasama natin eksperto dito.
Since you said "hindi na kasya ang tao" do you mean gagamitan mo na lang ng stick para mapinturahan yung external wall?
With your neighbor's permission, Baka pwede mo lagyan ng yero to cover your firewall including his bakod.
Just...[COLOR="Red"]DRILL IT!
Re: Firewall Leaking Problem
pag ako lagyan ng wall flashing
parang ganun ang dating yung lalagyan mo sa sumbrero ang dalawang wall, sayo at kapit bahay mo.

X2 on the wall flashing...

You mean a GI cap across both firewalls?
That only works if the two firewalls are the same height and slopes, and
if you have your neighbor's consent to install it.
WRT neighborly consent, the minute you build outside your property line,
you're subject to all kinds of hurt (legal, social and/or otherwise).
[COLOR="DarkGreen"]inb4 only in da peelipeens.
If the two walls are too different in terms of height/slopes, and if your
neighbor won't play ball, a workable option is a [COLOR="Blue"]GI cap with a wick/gutter.
Here's a crude quicky-sketch, obviously not to scale:
The point is not to tamper with, nor touch, a neighbor's property,
because we respect property rights. Hindi naman tayo asal squatter, dibs?
With the gap between the wick/gutter and your neighbor's firewall thus
reduced, you mostly eliminate rain-wetting of your own firewall.
You'll want heavier-gauge flat GI for this, so a press brake helps (you are
essentially fabricating and installing a cap+gutter, even though the gutter
will be shallow and possibly quite narrow). You will need to downspout
runoff from either end of the gutter, which should be easy because the
gutter ends where the constriction between firewalls ends.

Re: Firewall Leaking Problem
correct horge...i think it would be best if jefrey can post a pic of the area in question as mentioned by viva...
i have a current proj from an owner who has a similar problem, the firewall of her warehouse is higher than the firewall of the squatters beside her by about 4m both with same rough finish...
what i recommended to the contractor is to plaster the rough finish wall of the warehouse as far as they can reach within the gap near the top of the firewall of the house beside them and then the owner of the warehouse talked to the owner of the house and asked permission if we can put a flashing overlapping/covering the gap between the 2 walls...
well, the owner of the house was more than happy to oblige because hes having even more problems of water seeping on his unplastered wall from the wall of the warehouse 🙂
so in summary as mentioned above, know your property line and talk to the neighbor, it wont hurt by asking or talking... 🙂 then follow tried and tested procedures on how to install flashings...hth
