patulong naman po sa electrical. i'm trying to add a light with it's own switch to an existing light and not really sure how to connect the wires? i've replaced the single switch with a double and ran 2 wires to the light i want to add and that's about it.
please see image. pwede po ba or may kulang? note that i don't have access to the red wire.
i'm not sure if i've posted on the right category? if not, kindly move it please. thanks!
Re: Help with adding a light
First, turn off the circuit breaker so you don't get electrocuted.
Connect the blue to the red. You _NEED_ access to the red one, no other way to do it.
Connect the yellow to the right side of the top switch.
Connect the green (on the left of bottom switch) to the left of top switch.
HTH.
Re: Help with adding a light
Sir, do you want both lights to turn-on/off at the same time?
If yes then series mo na lang yung 2nd light sa green line ng switch.
If not, you will really need access to the red wire which could be possible via the actual light receptacle. I don't know the physical layout lang ng electricals nyo. Usually, meron talaga access to a common line.

Re: Help with adding a light
open the receptacles and connect from there. You can make parallel connection by doing that. this is however makes one switch for the both bulb.
Re: Help with adding a light
hi elexcis,
yong2x already replaced the previous single switch to double switch so he can turn on the light individually. you can do joey's advise but of course you need to connect the other wire to red wire, otherwise you cant turn on the light. thanks

Re: Help with adding a light
If both lights are mounted on the same kisame and your can crawl into the kisame, get to the existing light and tap your blue wire into the existing bulb's red wire.
There was a suggestion re series connection of lights. While this may be possible, realize that, in a series connection, if one bulb goes out, the other one will, too. Pag napundi ang isa, you cannot visually tell which one to replace.
Re: Help with adding a light
Sir Timmmay...
Given now the conditions... you must therefore find a way to connect the blue line to the red line through one terminal of the 2nd switch. And then connect the yellow line to opposite terminal of the 2nd switch which should also be connected to a terminal with a green line (looking at the diagram it should be the terminal of the green line nearest the label (LIGHT SWITCH).
This would typically be a parallel connection against the red and green lines of the first light which is cut by individual switches...
Good luck in crawling into the kisame at this heat... 🙂
