Re: Hiding wires of appliances

Best option I see is to embed the cables. If you do that, make sure the conduit of the antenna or video cable is separate from the power. Otherwise you may have interference.

Is your wall drywall (gypsum), wood, or concrete?

If drywall, it should be easy to cut into it, embed the conduits, masilya (gypsum putty), then repaint the entire wall.

Wood and concrete is similar but more difficult.

Another option I prefer less is to use those "moldura". They come in either wood or plastic and may simply be glued to the wall. But this option makes the moldura visible.

Or, you can make some floor-to-ceiling decorative frame for your TV, with the cables sandwiched between wall and the frame.

Also if you plan to upgrade players to be connected to you tv like bd player media player AVR etc and no wiremess issue, you could use what i use.
Belkin ScreenCast AV 4 Wireless AV-to-HDTV Adapter
you put all your players receiver in other room and control it front of your tv. No wire No cables Minimalist at its best!

Re: Hiding wires of appliances

We use this mold to hide wires. You can paint it with same color as your wall to hide it.. You can buy this in most hardware stores even saw some in your suking hardware store.. 🙂

Reading what pyth said, I immediately looked at Belkin ScreenCast AV 4 Wireless AV-to-HDTV Adapter in amazon and its not cheap.. 🙂

Theres an alternative now that I've been wanting to buy.. The Chromecast created by Google for only $35. I sooo want to have it... its currently out of stock in amazon.. 🙁

I saw some cable protectors, wire raceways, and others online, but I can't find a lot from local online sites. I remember seeing rolls of wire tracks in a Landmark hardware store.
