Window Type Aircon Installation Part 1
A breather from the Lancer project 🙂
Sharing with everyone a project I did a while back -

Installing this is surprisingly easy - saved the money that should have been for the installers 🙂
Thanks!

Re: Home Improvement Projects
the ac is much smaller than the hole bro..
i suggest you fill the sides with some stuffing material..but use those that are not fire hazard..
how did you bore the hole for the tox?
the viewers of your blog are scratching their head..
did you use the hammer or the crawbar for this job?

Re: Home Improvement Projects
there's some foam lining that came with the A/C unit, I intend to line the sides with it - but other than that, what do you recommend? 🙂
Yup, the A/c is smaller than the hole but it enough to cool the room (1 h/p) - I think the hole is for a 2HP A/C unit or a much older model (larger units but the same HP)..
The hole for the tox was done using a masonry drill and a 500w drill 🙂 sorry forgot to mention that in the blog - thanks for pointing it out 🙂

Re: Home Improvement Projects
when sharing this kind of stuff, please give the reader an extra precaution when drilling the wall, you don't know that you might hit the electrical wiring that will lead to electrocution.
The proper way to paint is to lay on a coat of primer first - but since I'm cheap - I go straight to the base coat 🙂
and i think, the proper way to paint it is to remove the wood first and paint it outside, the smell of the paint is really not good for our health.

Re: Home Improvement Projects
that's a nice reminder - i've always been lucky and never came across any wiring.. I'll make sure to remind everyone 🙂
I agree that it should have been removed but as I've mentioned - It was a project before a long weekend at out in-laws so no one was around and the paint vented out by the time we got back 🙂
Thanks for the reminders sir ossie - I appreciate the guidance and support 🙂
