Gusto ko po malaman how to compute for electrical load sa bahay?
Bale po kasi gusto ko magdagdag ng 2 aircon sa bahay namin, one each sa kwarto ng mga anak ko. Pwede po bang iisang circuit breaker ang ilagay sa 2 aircon?and how many amperes kung sakali? what wire size to use?

Pasensya na Jomar, pang Grade 2 kasi tagalog ko kaya english na lang.
I think the standard practice is to have one branch circuit per A/C. This is because the high starting current of an A/C can cause the voltage to drop and affect other equipment connected to the same branch. A 20A circuit should do for a 1hp.

A .6 horsepower aircon, which is very popular nowadays require a 15 amp circuit. A 20 amp circuit will require gauge 12 wire, while a 15 amp circuit requires a 14 gauge wire minimum. Although in the Philippines, it is standard I think for all outlets to be rated at 20 amps, using 12 gauge wire.

opzuk4x4, isn't 20A per branch in the electrical code? Bro, 25 years ago ko pa nakita yan and I don't practice, hobby lang, but that's what I remember.
You are right of course. Branch size is up to the user's intended use.

You are correct, been using that set-up for ages. Thing is medyo complicated kasi ang electrical practice dito sa atin. There is the "standard" then there is "standard practice". In building construction si "standard" ang nasusunod. Usually naman for residential purposes si "standard practice" ang nasusunod.
