Hi,

My garage floor is made up of matte-finish tiles. The sales clerk of the shop where I bougth the tiles said that it wouldn't be slippery when it gets wet. However, that's not true.

My garage is slanted and when it gets wet, the tires of my car slides specially when I park backwards.

I wanted to do something to solve this without too much work and cost and at the same time maintain good looks. 🙂

What would you suggest?

Thanks!

I think you have a steep garage. There's available anti-slip compound at home depot but I'm not sure if it will solve your problem.

You can replace the existing with anti-slip tiles. Only the tiles that on-track with your tires NOT the whole garage. That will be few pieces only.

Re: How to Make Garage Non-Slippery

Bro there is another possible way to address your problem and if you are amenable to sacrifice your tiled garage, you can apply an anti-slip rubberized paint on the entire flooring of your garage, and this rubberized paints comes in some shades of gray, maroon, green, red and even yellow.

Or as what have bro bryant said, replacing some parts of your garage tiles with an anti-slip tiles. These tiles come in 8in X 8in, 10in X 10in or 12in X 12in. Duon mo lang sya ilalagay sa dinadaanan ng mga gulong.

Or replace it with 4WD for better traction.

It will add good looks on your garage & to the owner not too much work but a little bit costly.

Or yung parang sandpaper strips na ginagamit sa hagdan. Self-adhesive na yun. Cut to short strips and stick them across the path of the tires.

I'd try this first because its the easiest and probably cheapest.

nasabi na nila yung isasa suggest ko...

pero me naiisip ako eh....me grinder ka ba? lagyan mo ng masonry cutting diamond disc...gumawa ka ng shallow cuts 5 cm in between sa mga tiles..pagtyagaan mo...

this is one of the dustiest pero epektib.

Re: How to Make Garage Non-Slippery

mas mahal yung Bronco brand..1700pesos per gallon! yay!

btw..yung self adhesive strips na ginagamit sa bath tub or bathroom..in time naba bakbak yung adhesive...you can buy it in rolls 2 inches lapad max...sa mall hardwares...
