Re: how to strip paint from walls?

I'm not familiar with the said product, but here is what the net has provided:

"Stripsol is best applied through a low-pressure application system, but it can be brushed, wiped, or rolled on to the surface. Coverage range is, 125 to 250 square foot per gallon. Results will be faster and more complete on horizontal surfaces. Depending on the paint or coating, more than one application may be needed. Apply the stripper from the top down using a side-to-side spray. A small hand pumped garden sprayer works very well for small jobs. Allow the Stripsol to set on the surface at least five minutes before doing your scratch test to determine whether or not you are ready to rinse. A scratch test is, you scratch at the paint or coating with a sharp object to see if the substrate is visible. If you see the substrate everywhere you scratch you are ready to rinse. If you do not see substrate or if the coating is gummy but not released, reapply the product and wait an additional 10 minutes before retesting. The waiting time is from when application started so on a big job you should be able test or rinse as soon as you are done applying. Sheltered areas under overhangs or railings, receive little weathering which may need a repeat application. Protect adjacent surfaces and drape plastic over plants just while you are applying the stripper. Be careful not to leave the plastic on to long in direct sunlight as it may cook the plants. A pressure washer, garden hose, or water and a scrub brush can be used for rinsing. If you are using a pressure washer keep the nozzle six inches from the surface if you are rinsing wood. Certain enamels may best be stripped with LCS, which is a caustic, and d-limonene water based product. Alkyd enamel can be removed by first applying Stripsol allow to dwell for several minutes. While Stripsol is still wet apply Stripper Cream directly over the Stripsol. After adequate soak time and a scratch test, remove the paint by scraping or high-pressure rinse. "

Is Stripsol available locally? From which vendor? How much?

Thanks!

Re: how to strip paint from walls?

stripsol is cheap, easy to use, and very very caustic. even the paint that comes off with it is itchy.
brush it on the surface to be stripped, wait for it tobubble, scrape off.
