Hello guys! I just moved into my new place and I need some help and tips. I want to remove the vinyl tiles in my kitchen area and replace it with ceramic tiles. I intend to do the job myself. The area is about 4 square meters. Any suggestion po from you will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Remove existing vinyl..need a backer board..use cement board or hardiflex..screw it to plywood..play run 3...and put some screensren wire on top of your backerboard. Use a strong tile adhesive..not yun economy brand..then u can put ur tiles now.
wow, thanks for the reply. due to some intervening concerns and for lack of time i haven't thought of the project in the meantime. salamat ha.
mas mabilis gumamit po kayo ng redifix pinapahid po sa wood then, normal na tile adhesive. kakapit na po yun kahit walang mesh.
the title says...ceramic tiles on plywood flooring....and she further says...."kitchen'!
it is possible why not....but this could be the costliest DIY to fail in the long run.

Correct Doc. kung plywood flooring. I assume gawa sa kahoy ang buong bahay or merong cemento sa ilalim ng plywood?
