Hi there!

This is my first post and so far I have been found such interesting and useful tips from pinoyhandymen.

My question is about relocation of an existing fixture, such as a kitchen sink. Is it possible to relocate it? The move is limited to either left and right of the original location.

If it's possible, how far can I move it? I'm planning to move it between about 0.5 meter to 2 meters. I'm worried about the p-trap, will it still function after extending that far?

Hope my question is clear enough. Thanks and more power to this site!

Re: Kitchen Sink Relocation

The p-trap usually is installed directly underneath the sink, just after the drain. Unless there is an immovable barrier between the new location and the former that will prevent you from reconnecting the drain pipe, then I don't see any problem with the relocation.

Re: Kitchen Sink Relocation

Thanks for the reply, hopefully, I don't plan to install drawers which would obstruct the pipe leading to the p-trap, so I guess my plan will work after all. Thanks so much for the help!
