Hi All,

Anybody considered or have been using these kinds of lighting? I believe this has never been talked about here yet.

Re: LED Lighting System

I used to inquire LED lighting way back when I bought my solar panel but it was expensive. Not sure if the price went down already nowadays. One other thing at that time is that the angle of light is narrow thus it is best to use it for a desk light. If you prefer to use LED light to replace your light bulb at that time then you have to consider the angle of area it can cover. You may need plan out the spacing to attain best covered area. Not really sure how the technology have develop overtime.

Re: LED Lighting System

I've tried cdrking LED lights. they are the cheapest, one-year warranty, 3-4-5-7-9 watts and yes LED has narrow angle of illumination but i have a high ceiling so its a bit compensated.

Re: LED Lighting System

Been using LED lights for more than a year. best implementation for me, would be outdoor lights where you normally leave it open at night. You cannot take advantage of its energy saving properties if you use it at a sala or bedroom with less than 3 hours running time and the usual off/on activity.

Yes I have been using CDRKING LED bulbs just to experiment. so far good performance naman at di gaano kamahal.

The more people using them, the more the price will go down.

Salamat Sir.

Mga 6 months na rin o mahigit siguro.

Binutingting ko na rin sila at IMHO good build quality sila.

Ang isang disadvantage sa CDRKING, pag meron good item at gusto mo pa, wala na sila stock.

Sa presyong P130 (3 watts), pwede na isugal not for the sake na makatipid tayo ng malaki sa koryente but to encourage them to sell more and thus bring the price down eventually.

Mga 6 pcs total na siguro nabibili ko kasi when a CFL burns out, I replace it with an LED.

Been using 14 different firefly LED lights for 5 months now. bought Php250 to 600 each. Used mostly as perimeter/outside lightings. So far all are still working fine.

Re: LED Lighting System

CDR-King LED lamps are getting cheaper and cheaper. Warranty then was just a month, but now its a year. I've been using them for more than a year now, so far so good. I prefer the 9-watts for the living room and dining areas and 3-4 watts for the CRs. Of all the 24 units i bought only one failed and had it replaced.

Re: LED Lighting System

I'm using the RITEK brand of LED lights from CDRKing. So far so good. The new generation GES LED lights are also good. They give 5 years warranty.

Re: LED Lighting System

Testing further the CDR King solar power kit I posted on another thread, my recent findings are that the built-in battery can carry both the lights (1 watt each) from 6PM up to 3AM. Matutulog na ako by this time kaya pinapatay ko na sila and thus hindi ko nasagad ang maximum life nung battery.

By daytime, full charge na naman si battery by the solar panel.

Here you see my kitchen counter illuminated by an 11watt CFL:

By comparison, here is the dining table illuminated by only one of the 1 watt LEDs:

The second LED lights up our "lucky horses" painting:

Dati all night until I go up to sleep, a 7watt and 3watt LED (run by 220 volts) light up the dining table and the painting as ambient light while I work on the computer.

Presently, the solar power provides the free light all night long 🙂
