ruel_g, whenever i see diyers interested in making modular "knockdown" cabinets, i always advice them to do some research in the internet about System-32 which is basically the concept and the foundation for building a knockdown cabinet. the reason for this is that all the parts (and the jigs) that you will use in making your cabinet will work together using this system to make your carcass strong when you assemble it - the position of the dowels and screws (size and depth) and how many to use, all is explained in the system. it will also make it easier for you to disassemble it without breaking any of the parts :-). it will also help you in minimizing expensive mistakes when making your first knockdown cabinet - i say this base on my own personal experience in making my first knockdown cabinet. ilang beses ko din sinabi sa sarili ko na ang tanga-tanga ko at di ko na isip yun bago ko na cut yun MDF or nag drill ng dowel hole sa MDF 🙂 he he he ... precision is the name of the game when making knockdown cabinets, and to be precise, you need to understand the principle behind it ... cheers

yes, thats it. hettich is another good brand of knockdown cabinet parts that uses system 32 ... thanks for sharing the link, i'll also download the pdf and add it to my references ... read and gather all pdfs that you can find in the internet specifically about the carcass and plinth (the foot of your carcass) parts ... products (e.g. hinges, sliding tray) documetation will give you more info on how the principles of system 32 works in a knockdown cabinet ... cheers
