Re: Modular Pod Homes

WOW, A very interesting set up or arrangement of these modular pod homes, that reminds me of a Lego being stacked up one on top of the other. My concerns here really now is how to protect the structure since its made of steel and metal sheets from completely rusting, another one is that its too cold and hard (stiff ) for me in terms of design, I see only repetitive straight lines that resembles an ordinary building structure, well sorry for that, its only my personal opinion being an artist.

By the way, have you seen before the Erap city somewhere in Pasig where they used old container van that were stacked up one on top of each other, well they have become rusted all over on the outside panellings, I just don't know if they are still there and standing.

Anyway talking of strengthening the structure, I guess it will need sturdy or sound base foundation and yes thick I-Beams or H-Beams as frames will hold them together specially when properly bolted or welded to the frames. :showoff:

Here's a link I was able to research and its really very interesting and just needed some creative imagination to be able to come up with a very warm atmosphere outside and inside these containers !!! 😉 :p

Re: Modular Pod Homes

@ Ka rosy mods:)

I was a big fan of Container Van before but it's getting very expensive everyday. But these container can be a modern day housing project of the government.

Ikea Pod House which cost around 100,000 USD. Costly isn't it!:thanks:

Re: Modular Pod Homes

Yes bro it can be used for a housing project and it was done before during Erap's time for the informal settlers I think of San Juan but the problem was when some of the people given the privilege or opportunity, I heard, were selling the metals at a junk shop piece by piece, well I hope it was not true, sila rin ang magiging kawawa at ma aapektohan ng mga maling gawain !!! sigh !

Yan ang malaking problema sa mga informal settlers sa Metro Manila Ka rosy mods. Kailangan talagang i review ang Lina Law which was authored by none other than Ex Sen.Joey Lina. Bibigyan mo ng bahay tapos namimili pa ng mga lokasyon. Gusto nila sa prime area like QC. Speaking of Quezon City, The Squatter Capital of the Philippines, ang samang pakinggan di ba? Sorry OT mods.

How about this Pod homes?:)

Boxy but looks nice and ultra modern design.:thanks:

Sadly but true, kapag hindi pinaghirapan malimit pabayaan. Even in the US they have issues w/ people who live on welfare benefits and refusing to work for a living. They cash their check benefits for alcohol and drugs. You can find a way for people to elevate their self esteem by giving them access to affordable housing but let them pay for it so they may take pride in claiming ownership. That way they will give importance to their investment no matter how simple or grand it is.:)

Re: Modular Pod Homes

those house design makes for mass production and efficient as well. unfortunately it is also easy to break into to them and security can be more of a concern than anything else....
