hey guys. surfed internet and bumped to lots of forums about start ups. so the best option for me I've seen is 3D panels production by myself.
So here's the plan: buy molds, buy plaster, produce cool 3D wall panels and sell!
the first question I got is where to buy the molds? I typed molds for 3D panels and got formako company. they sell bloody good molds! also they write about the business of production and website says I could profit about 1000%/... Yeach I know sounds weird. But I'v counted and I think I could get 300% profit max. Which is not so bad, right?
second question. get plaster. as i've surfed the cheapest bag of plaster cost about 17$. a bag of such plaster may produce 5-6 molds (as formako.net says). which may return the investments by several times! here's the profit comes. 😎
third question. the production. have i worked with plaster? nope. so i started to search some videos like "how to make a vase made from plaster"... and now i see that it's not so hard! making vase from plaster harder then just fill the plaster into a mold, right? it's way harder to get the panel out of the mold as I assume. going back to formako, they sell two types of molds: polyurethane and plastic ones. any ideas what that is???
Conclusion: NEED YOUR ADVICE PEOPLE! should I go for it?
p.s.: builders and plaster workers are sooo welcome! πŸ˜€

The most important thing: who's gonna buy your product? Do you have a market already (existing) or you plan to create a market for this?

I agree with 4dboys. You have to do a market study first. How big is the market? Who are teh current players?

But I think you already know that, hence your post. And your methodology of doing a market study is asking a virtual community of handymen (women) for a GO-or-NO-GO decision?? Kind of lazy, isn't it?

If I were you tataya na lang ako sa lotto. Mas malaki ang chance na mabawi ang investment.

As the production isn’t huge (home based business)I already got a few orders for next year – those are for friends and their friends. Further I hope demand will create itself. Given that the profit rates are high, I can produce not many panels getting significant benefits.

I’m almost doing the study. I just sent out the pictured to all my friends and many of them liked the product. That’s how I already got a few orders. So the production almost started, just waiting my molds.
Even at the beginning I got some doubts, now I aint got any.
