Ano po ba usually ginagawa or yung recommended na gawin kapag yung lumang tiles ay papatungan ng bago? kelangan pa ba lagyan ng bore holes yung lumang tiles, etc.???
yung magiging "bahay kubo" namin ay ganon ang gagawin. balak ko na lang i-DIY yung paglagay ng tiles after na maelevate ng mga hinire na karpintero yung old floor ng bahay.
itataas yung old floor, meaning to say, eh lalagyan ng filling material then concrete then yung tiles.
salamat sa kung sino man ang tutugon sa aking tanong.

At the minimum I think you have to rough up the tile surface para kumapit ng mabuti the cement... as in bore holes. Imho though, I think its better to just to remove the old tiles... more work but better to ensure that job is done right the first time 🙂

If tile to tile no need to removed the existing tile just used heavy duty tile adhesive like "ABC brand". Thin bed method in applying the adhesive use a notched trowel. Make sure na hindi "kapak" ang mga lumang tiles.
Pero kung "kapak" na yun mga lumang tiles. Tanggalin mo na lahat. Just used ordinary tile adhesive (not cement) para maganda ang kapit.
Pero kung tatambakan mo yun existing flooring na meron tiles, no need to removed. I-tamper mo yun filling material, add 2" gravel beddings, pour concrete atleast 4" thick with 10mm deformed bars 0.5m distance on center bothways then tiling works.

hindi na pala nalagyan ng 10mm na rebar...yung filling material (gravel bedding) eh pinatungan na lang nila ng concrete.
