Hi folks - I have a hardwood door (or so i think i do) which was painted choloate brown and im planning to take out the paint and stain it instead as the paint is staring to peel off. I'm not sure if this is due to the weather and the fact that it gets wet when it rains or just a lousy paint job from my contractor, either way i would still prefer the natural stained look. This is how it looks like prior to having it painted.

and i wanted it look natural dark brown.

can this be done?
