We are planning putting tiles on our old patio. It has an area of roughly 96'. I calculated the tile count to be around 56pcs. 16x16.
Need po help sa area na 96' how many bags of cement and sand ang ma consume ko, At ano po ba ideal na depth ng concrete sa ganito. I still have some more gravel left outside, I will add it to the existing gravel then stamp the ground.

Re: Patio tile help.

Hi there Boggieman,

I will give you a rough estimate based on actual applications I have done in some parts of my property. For a 4' X 6' area, with a 4" thick concrete slab flooring, a bag of cement would be sufficient considering the mixture will be 1x2x3 or 1x3x3. If you will multiply the given 4' X 6', you'd get a total area of 24' and you then multiply the total of 24' X 4, equals 96' total area. So that means you will need 4 bags of cement for your slabbing project on your small patio.

The 4" thick concrete slab flooring will be perfectly sound enough since it will be utilized only for human traffic. For your aggregates order ka nalang ng 1.5 cubic of sand and 1.0 of 1/2" gravel since you said you still have some left over supply of gravel. I cannot pin point exactly the amount of sand and gravel you will use kasi when I do concreting here in my place, I'd order an elf load of white sand and an elf load of gravel, always with excess since I know I will still have other use for them. The suggested amount for your sand and gravel are just estimates, kung sumobra ok lang you can stock them in sacks for future use, ang problema kung kulangin, mahirap mag pa deliver ng konting order ng materiales. 🙁

Hope this helps !!! 😉 🙂

Re: Patio tile help.

Well I'm glad I could help, kahit sa konting pamamaraan lang .

Though I am not an engineer nor an architect, based lang sa actual applications and keen observations with some contratistas and other construction workers I have worked and dealt with !!!:construction::agree:

Re: Patio tile help.

Hi there Boggieman,

That is great bro, so that means its really a go with the project, yes its been quite sunny this past days so I guess you were able to work on the concreting of your patio and hope my estimates were correct.

If by any chance you could share some pics of this patio concreting project and the tiling as well. 😉

Good luck and thanks in advance bro !!! 😀

Re: Patio tile help.

Hi Rosy,

Sorry it took sometime for the update, I've been very busy. I ended up with additional 1 bag of cement kasi sa elevation, but the estimate is perfect, I appreciate the help at sa marami ko pang tanong sa future.

Here are some photo's I've taken along the way. Di ako nakakapag update pero I make sure na kinukuhaan ko ng pics as I go.

The finish product is not good as what professional do. But the experience and joy making it is priceless.

And guess who get's the first test.

Re: Patio tile help.

Hi there Boggieman,

Well bro, not really rushing your project, its up to you when you have the time plus when the weather would ever permit. And based on your pics posted, you've done the initials, then finished it with your choice of tile design, what else can you ask for, the finished project looks great and beautiful, so I guess a big congratulations on a well done project.
It looks easier to maintain now compared to the previous original pic you showed.

CHEERS to you bro !! :clap1::cheers::2thumbsup:
