Re: Polystyrene Blocks substitute for hollow blocks?

Eto pala yung mga nakikita ko sa construction sites na styro na may wire mesh. This is interesting. Has anyone tried using this? Mukhang ok kasi high thermal and noise insulation dAw based sa website at 4" finished thickness. Mas mura b ito kesa traditional na hollow blocks? Or same thermal and noise properties lng ang hollow blocks and these ps panels? . . . Im planning the materials for the house we plan to build and this is really an option. Malapit kasi kmi sa riles ng tren. Dinig na dinig ang tren samin hehe

When I was in college, I remember they used this method in constructing a 4-storey building (circa 1999-2000). After it was finished, we held classes there and it did offer better thermal insulation, especially in the afternoon.
