hello po! we're shopping for toilet bowls and came across Pozzi brand sa Wilcon. i checked google and only cam across an Italian brand Pozzi-Ginori. since magkaiba po ang logo nila, baka magkaiba rin sila talaga.

meron na po kayang nakagamit ng Pozzi dito? ok po ba ang quality? we used to buy Cotto and Toto and ok naman sila for us pero we're looking at other options sana.

thanks!

i have not seen the Pozzi brand here in south cotobato. for our case, my wife like the HGC design - simple but elegant which is why i decided to use it for all our toilets, si commander has a big say when it comes to the things inside the house 🙂 he he he.

apart from the aesthetics (that's my wife's forte) you should consider the following in your choice:
1. the design of the water closet mechanism (look inside the closet). for me this is the most important one as i will be the one doing the maintenance of it moving forward :-). the design should be simple and does not look too crowded inside the closet - less moving parts, easy adjustment of water level, ease of replacing the parts due to wear and tear, use of less water when flushing (very important to conserve water), spare parts are readily available in any shop.
if you look at the HGC mechanism design, it's simple and practical. there are only 2 parts - the inlet for the water in which the float is mounted at the side of the plastic tube to shut-off the water once the closet is full. the other part is the outlet which has the flapper. the design of the parts are the same to the standard replacement parts you normally see at most hardware stores (e.g. Citi Hardware).
2. avoid those models whose lever or button is on the top of the cover. it may look nice but it's a pain in the neck replacing it. and it easily get's broken as all its part is made of plastic. this was the type we have when we where in SG before and from experience it's really not that good. worst, if you break the cover, it's going to be messy flushing the toilet while your getting a replacement cover from the manufacturer :-).
3. forget about getting those models with 2 buttons (one for urine with less water and one for full water for the pooh). it may look high tech but really not practical especially if you have kids at home - since the buttons are close to each other, they always end up pushing the big button 🙂 ha ha ha. i just tell my kids, if they just urinate on the bowl, use 1 tabo of water to clear the urine from the bowl. the HGC bowl can really handle this. with 1 tabo of water, it really flashes the water down the drain 🙂
4. by the model that comes in a toilet room package (e.g. toilet bowl, lavatory, tissue holder, soap holder, etc.), it's cheaper especially if you have a toilet in each of the bedrooms.

and if the manufacturer has an ongoing raffle promo, it could possibly be an added bonus. when we bought the HGC toilet package (i bought 3 sets but i only filled up 1 raffle coupon since i never won any raffle before) last year, we won 1st prize (50" Samsung UHD Smart TV) for the mindanao area 🙂 ha ha ha. my logical explanation to my wife as to why we won, the odds of winning was on our side - how many consumers do you think bought toilet bowls in the mindanao area during that 6-months promo? 🙂 he he he ... cheers

Boo!

thanks so much for your detailed reply!

we're based in vietnam and cambodia and the best brands here are either cotto or toto. we haven't tried HGC before kaya medyo iffy kami about it but it looks as if HGC is the best option in Manila right now in terms of availability and price.

if you don't mind me asking, ano po yung model na ginamit nyo? is the flush the traditional looking one with the handle on 1 side of the tank?

yes it's the traditional type model but the water closet is slender and taller than the normal toilet bowl of the old days 🙂 ... i already forgot the model of the HGC. there are 2 models being sold by HGC in a package. get the package with the bigger lavatory and the toilet cover that comes with the bowl is the anti-bacteria type. if i remember it right, the package cost about P5.5K to P6K last year ... the other package has a small lavatory and the toilet cover is just the ordinary plastic and not anti-static. the price is also a lot cheaper ... cheers

Boo!
