Re: PVC couplings with brass female threads

Bro I think I have come across these types of pvc accessories a few years back at large home depots, just can't remember which one, if Wilcon or Ortigas home depots. Might as well check out True Value at the Shang.

Re: PVC couplings with brass female threads

Hi,

Has anyone spotted this locally?

http://www.amazon.com/Amico-Brass-Female-Thread-Coupler/dp/B00ARBHTRE/ref=sr_1_8?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1369998425&sr=1-8&keywords=amico+pvc+brass
http://www.amazon.com/Amico-Female-Thread-Fitting-Connector/dp/B00ARBHJVK/ref=sr_1_13?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1369998425&sr=1-13&keywords=amico+pvc+brass

I'm laying out the plan and BOM for the powder teardown and this is one of the considerations that I have.

For what purpose? Waterline?

If your waterline there's no available PVC Pipe with brass thread. What available in the market & even home depot's are PPR Pipe & Fittings. These fittings can be only joined by fusion weld using PPR welding machine.

And if that fails, try Dexterton.

When I built my house, I got my insulated PE pipes from Dexterton. Mine is different from one in the picture but I recall I saw something like that there.

Re: PVC couplings with brass female threads

The embedded threads could get stripped off the PVC if get overtightened.

This is what I did:

You can use stainless steel fittings if you want.

All bathrooms.

But didn't know any better then. Got the ones that need crimping, not the fusion type. Now, I cringe at the thought of needing to repair any of them as I'm not sure any ordinary plumber can do it.
