You can use 1x3/16 flat bar and 9mm square bar. Usually 4 inches ang ideal na distance. Kaw na ang mag adjust kung mas medyo malaking sukat na flat bar at square bar ang gagamitin mo. Siyempre mas malaki mas matibay.

For the square bars, ask for the standard 12mm, hope they give you the standard size kasi usually
undersized ang binibigay. As a personal choice, I prefer a bigger size of square bars, the 9mm size is a bit small and can easily be cut.

1x6mm flat bar for frame and 12 mm square bar..usually sa hardware store color coding na ang bakal..mas maganda kung mag dala ka ng caliper or any measuring tools..anyway eto yung mga grill na ginawa ko..

1x6mm na flat bar ang ginawa kong frame saka 1x1x1.5mm at 3/4x3/4x1.5mm..

Eto namang huli kong ginawa puro square tubing na..sa loob naman naka mount ang grills..

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I will probably settle for 10mm square bar and minimum sized flat bar.

This will be place inside the house instead of outside because the screen is currently placed outside.

Bugel, I your grille is similar to what I chose from the internet but I change my design to a simpler one.

BTW, any idea idea on the price of these metals. I just want initial idea before I go to a hardware.

Salamat bro papatoks,mig21 at angna..mas mahal ang square tube pero mas rust resistant naman ang square bar..kaya lang square tube ginamit ko dahil diretso sya unlike square bar di maiiwasan ang baluktot at pilipit..mahihirapan pa ako na mag pukpok sa pag diretso nyan.

Eto yung price comparison

Square bar 10mm-around 140 to 160
Flat bar 6mm- 250+

Square tube 1"x1.5- 300+
3/4x1.5-200+
Price depends in your suking hardware stores.

Bugel mukang nakaweld din ba yun mga corners ng square tube. Linis ng corners pag mig yun gamit. No need to grind.

Mahirap mag grind ng corners pag arc welding ang gamit. Those corners must be sealed especially sa tubular gates. Diyan ang pinagmumulan ng rust.

Bry..yep hininang ko rin ang corner sa square tube kasi dapat water tight kung hindi kakalawangin from inside out..

Linis ng corners pag mig yun gamit. No need to grind.

If you have a die grinder and some carbide burrs, grinding and cleaning inside corners welded using
arc or stick machine will not be a problem any more. Compared with using an angle grinder which
cannot fit tight corners or spots. 😉
