I recently bought an inexpensive stainless double sink in the same price of single sink with rough undercoating for my dirty kitchen. How do I make my stainless sink make more sound proof? I have researched about it the materail and mostly are for vehicle doors, dynamat. Some auto DIYers, alternatively used flashband tape for roofings, some suggest rubberized undercoating or the polyurethane foam insulation. I have seen some sinks on stores have 4x4 thick tape as its sound deadening. Experts, what are your recommendations?
when you mention 'sound proof', basically what do you mean by it? ... it's a bit hard for me to visualize what is the issue 🙂 ... cheers Boo!
Hi Boo, not actualy 100% sound proof but reduce the metal clingy sound.
Why don't you try using the flashband tape as your undercoating, this are available at home depots and mall hardwares.
I am pretty sure this will help reduce the irritating sounds of your stainless sink, though not totally.

I have tried using a flashband patch (3x5") but sound dampening affect on that area. Well, I guess I have to deal with noise. Thank you for your inputs.
