Salamat muli PHM!

Re: Tungkol sa Palitada

You mean old-skool pag-palitada?

1. tubig, trowel/kutsara, pala, float, guide line, plumb bob, a handful of concrete nails, piece of foam,
pail, and a straightedge.

2. I've indiscriminately used portland and pozzolan to fair result.

3. for every square meter of wall 10kg of cement, .02 cu.m. of sand; water varies with weather.

4. since you've already seen it being done, I'll just summarize:

Route and tie your guide line horizontally, vertically and diagonally through concrete nails set into
the wall, and use a plumb bob to ensure the lines form a vertical plane. Screen/grade dry sand.
Mix dry sand and cement thoroughly with your spade, forming it into a heap, then form a crater
in the middle. Add water into the crater and gradually collapse the crater walls until all the water
is absorbed by the dry components. Turn over and mix with the spade until you get a plaster
with something wetter than a chunky-damp consistency.

Wet the wall thoroughly. Mash a small portion of the plaster mix to obtain a wetter consistency,
and load up your trowel with it. Flick the plaster onto the wall until you have it mostly covered,
and let the mix sit for awhile (30 mins. or more, depending on the weather), then fling some
more plaster mix to build it up to roughly the thickness indicated by your guide line (it'll exceed
and fall short of the guide line, but you'll be able to fix that later). Leave it alone for 30 mins. or
so. With trowel and straightedge, gently scrape off all the plaster that protrudes beyond the
guidelines --what you scrape off should be collected for reuse (rewetted and mashed) for filling
in gaps, using the float. After an hour or more, carefully use the float, then a wetted sponge
to smooth out the plaster, with a gentle wiping motion, and then leave it alone 'til next day, or
if there's still daylight, at least a few hours, because reasons... best to remove the guide lines
and (gently) the concrete nails before that.

Wet the (plastered) wall slightly. Load up your trowel with dry cement powder, and then with an
upward, lightly-scraping motion, coat the wall with said powder, which should absorb and stick to
the damp. Repeat until the wall is covered. Use a slightly damp sponge to smoothen (some use a
broad paint brush, pero theirs-theirs 'yan) the work. Leave it alone for a day.

Break out the jackhammer to remove all your lousy work, and call a real mason to do it right.

bro miked,

Kung desidido ka sa task, go ahead and do it, its not really that hard and complicated. You will have to make a wooden paleta with handle, that is where you will put your scooped concrete mix to spread on
the wall you will plaster, Don't forget pala to have a long straight edge, you will use this to see your plaster all flat, hindi baku bako.

OK we will wait for your updates.
