i noticed kasi sa mga bagong buildings whether it's a residential type ,high rise or low rise, lalo na sa Manila, many are using steel frameworks instead of the traditional RC construction, they're using i beams as posts andlintels, but still CHB for exterior walls then just conceal the steel ibeam colums with plaster, tipid nga naman sa labor at sa formworks but mahal ang mga i beams, and with i beams automatic na yung v- decking , mas mura po ba kung vdecking compared to the traditional slab construction using plywood as formworks, i know tipid sa bakal ang v-decking at i learned kay sir boo kung apaano makatipid sa vdecking sa pamamagtan ng pagbili ng gi sheet then fabricate nalang sa machine instead of uying branded decking systems
@ JohnyBlaze, i'm not into construction which is why i can't say it's cheaper 🙂 ... but one thing i did notice, it's (steel construction) faster. just like any resource, time is precious commodity. the faster you build (e.g. bldg, house) something, the result is higher productivity on your part and satisfied end users (owners). if you look at the bigger picture, what's happening in the construction industry for the past few years is a paradigm shift into treating the whole construction process as just like a production process of making a consumer product (e.g. car). this is primarily driven by consumers with a new mindset, "they don't like waiting, they want the product yesterday" 🙂 he he he. as such, in the construction indusctry, new technology, and new ways (process) of doing things are both being use to cope with the new demand (requirements) of the consumer ... do it faster 🙂 ... cheers
Boo!
