I have this glass window in a steel frame na pangit na ung putty na nilagay, so I am thinking na palitan na lang. Anong mas maganda ilagay na putty nia?
Please provide me the brand name and how to apply it...
I have learned also about silicone sealant. Pwede rin ba un sa window? Thanks

We used silicone sealant for our aluminium framed glass windows and they work fine. Get the better brands like Corning or Selby. You will need a "gun"to apply these. Any Ace, True Value or hardware should be able to help you with this.

I'll not making any thread now. Just a follow up question.... The steel frames of the windows are a bit rusty most of them and medyo nawawala na pintura nia, sinubukan kong kaskasin ang steel frames pero hindi xa ganun kadali maalis. Anong mga tools kelangan para madaling maalis ang pintura nung steel frame, anong liquid ang ilalagay para mawala ung mga dust na galing sa pintura at sa kalawang? Thanks.. Pipinturahan ko na lang ulit ung mga window steel frames.
Tapos anong magandang pintura for steel? Any brand please.. Thanks...

Hello po.. Eto po ang windows na sinasabi kong gusto kong palitan ng putty nia. advisable pa din ba ung silicone sealant? Anyone can recommend any other putty, brand? Please, or any method how to make this fine and will look better.

Putty is no longer being used precisely because they crack up and get moldy. In Baguio where the weather is more difficult for putty, our contractor used silicone sealant which has been recommended previously. It lasts a longer time and does a better job of sealing.
Upon removal of the old putty, the steel window will have to have its rust removed and repainted before application of the sealant.

Ganyan din ang problema ko pero what i did was kuha ka ng putty knife (pwede din screwdriver, kutsilyo etc...) then sundutin mo lang kung matigas na use a heatgun then sundut ulit. haven't tried silicon sealant ngayon ko lang nalaman pwede din pala 🙂
