We had just upgraded our concrete fence - bagong palitada plus installation ng precast barrier.

Next work will be painting. Ano po ba ang mai-suggest nyong pintura in terms of longevity and toughness.

I'm considering elastomeric by Rain or Shine, since self-priming na siya - good choice po ba ito?

Wala din po bang issues in case magpa-mix ako using elastomeric paint?

Thanks!

Re: ADVISE: Painting concrete fence

Hi there bizman,

Well according to bryant77, one of the respected architect member here, using the elastomeric by Rain or Shine will be perfect for wall painting specially that these walls are exposed to the elements. I am basing this from his other replies in some other threads.

I don't see any problem if you will have it mixed perhaps with the addition of some tinting color I suppose, but be sure to use the same brand.

GOOD LUCK !! 😉

Rosy,

I'm not an Architect, a frustrated one... may be !? hehehe

Rain or shine is a self priming paint, direct application. But you need to neutralized the concrete first before painting. Just follow the instruction on the label of the concrete neutralizer. The mixing ratio and procedure.

Yun mga precast concrete normally smooth finish. You need to sand it by Grit #100 sand paper para kumapit yun pintura.

Rain or shine paint has a matte/satin finish madali siya mag attract ng dirt lalo na yun white. Choose the earth colors like beige.

thanks for the reply... im really routing for elastomeric since self-priming save on time at cost na din. since im doing it DIY, bulag po ako sa magandang combination ng color, i guess nung nagsabog ng creativity sense ang langit, mahimbing ang tulog ko 😀

Baka po pwede ding makahingi ng advice sa magandang color theme ng bakod at gate ko 🙂

Re: ADVISE: Painting concrete fence

nice topic 🙂 once we reach the painting stage of the construction progress this info will come in handy. Will be painting our house/fence using a majority of white and probably beige accents (earth color). Would you recommend using Rain or Shine OR those Boysen Latex mixes? Specifically those custom color mix in big hardwares. thanks!
