Re: Best maintenance for rain gutters
Recent rains have shown the gutter to be watertight. Here it is, bitumen underneath a thin topping. The sides will likewise be covered with a thin topping to protect the waterproofing, then the remaining surfaces will be painted once the concrete's cured (28 days daw, but i'll wait longer to be sure).
Re: Best maintenance for rain gutters
gentlemen, what's your take on soldering patches onto metal roofs? i have a leaking gutter to deal with.
it's of stainless steel, but it has a 3" hole where a downspout was installed. the downspout was removed and patched with gi, and either welded/soldered into place.
it's now leaking, and once the. gunk's removed, it's a new patch. i can solder a new patch on, or just use that castle waterproofing instead.

I also have a stainless steel gutter and downspout. I fixed and sealed the downspout with Pioneer
Non-Sag epoxy. More than a year now and still no problem, though it only gets exposed to direct sunlight at noon.
