Hello!

I used Master Plastic Roof Cement (an asphalt-based compound) for connecting my downspouts and pipe fittings.

It was raining when I connected them
(the instruction written on the container states that the surfaces should be dry), so the downspout and fittings were a bit wet.

It seems that the wet surfaces isn't a problem, but
HOW LONG WILL THE PLASTIC ROOF CEMENT DRY UP?

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks!

PS:

I has been 2 days now, and the cement hasn't dried up yet.

Hi,

I t ried up checking google for it. it seems that the "master" product description is not available.

Hence, i tried to look for other brand that states that the plastic roof cement dries up from 2 to 5 days depending on the weather conditions. They can be applied on dry or wet surfaces depending on the type.

Should you still have the container, we can check on the website or call their costumer service number to directly as your quiries if it not indicated on the container.

Pasyensya na po pasingit lang.ito ba yung tinatawag nilang alkitran? tama ba . sa experience ko kasi parang hindi maganda kasi pag tag ulan makita mo pag baba sa alulod medyo kulay black yung tubig so over time parang nawawala na yung alkitran. so ano po bang magandang pang paint sa roof anong brand po kung pwede malaman sa mga experienced na po dito. thank you

Vulcaseal, Elastoseal and the likes should be better than old-school alkitran.
