Re: electrical wiring

Sir, anong piping ginamit dyan? kung ok pa conditions ng piping dyan sa post, i think pwede mo siguro lakihan yung butas nung junction box para lang maipasok mo yung new wiring from the bottom to top. 🙂

Re: electrical wiring

flexible electrical hose(yung orange) embedded sa poste, i first tried to insert a thin gauge of wire #18, from the top siguro wala pang 2ft naipasok ko, i then tried sa baba thru the junction box and managed siguro mga 3ft but thats it, ayaw na tumuloy, someone suggested a more thicker gauge, kaya lang mas mahirap due to the bends sa loob at thru junction box naman is not possible as its a 90deg bend:(

as i mentioned, wala na yung existing wire kasi nag short nga at naging brittle yung wire at naputol na, wala ng pagtatalian ng bagong wire, so i guess kailangan talaga install new pipe 🙁

Sir, san ba yung bend nung flexible? hindi ba sa baba lang? malamang walang bend yan sa gitna since diretso yung post nyo nung binuhusan yan. probably, baka may foreign objects din that blocking the hole or damage area of the flexible hose.

Re: electrical wiring

sir, nung inalis ko kasi lumang wire medyo nahirapan din ako hilahin, hindi pwedeng pagsabayin, one at a time lang, so it may have bends sa loob or/at parang nasakal yung hose nung binuhusan:( btw, may nakita ako malapit dito sa amin ginagawa yung fence pero hindi flexible yung pipe na ginamit kundi yung parang sa tubig na straight pvc, how i wish ganun din sana yung ginamit nung pinagawa ko ito

sir, yung industrial type na sinasabi mo e yung litaw yung mga orange pipes? pati junction box?

Re: electrical wiring

Hey bro seymorebutts,

Its a possibility that the orange flex hose inside the post got pinned so hard by some rocks mixed with concrete when it was constructed or some concrete mix where accidentally been poured inside the flex hose.

From past posts, you said na if coming from the top, 2 feet lang ang pumapasok na alambre, and from the bottom where the junction box is located eh 6 feet lang ang pumapasok na alambre, here is another solution that I can think of, sa labas ng postem from above, mark a line on the surface of the concrete measuring 2 feet, then from the bottom going up measure the 6 feet lenght where the alambre stops or cannot go thru anymore, then mark it, I was thinking na duon mo na lang sinsilin yung concrete surface till you reach and expose the FLEX HOSE and really find out what happened, if the hose is damaged, then just replace a portion of the hose so you can let your electrical wiring go thru, tapos you can cover up the part of the concrete anew, less ang sira sa poste compared sa sisinsilin mo the entire length of your post to install new pvc tubing, see if you can consider this option. 🙂

tama si sir rosy! pwede din ganun. sinsilin mo kung saan ayaw pumasok. but the problem kung papalitan mo ng hose di na yun safe dahil baka pasukan din ng tubig yung post mo habang tumatagal.

yung industrial type naman, wag orange flexi, ang panget tingnan nun. use better conduit piping system for outdoor ok lang kahit expose basta wag orange flexi. san ba kayo based, Sir? try nyo check sa mga electrical supply.

I personally don't see this as a problem because the piece of piping or tubing that will replace the damaged part will have to be a bit longer, say you remove about 2" or 3" of damaged flex tubing, you now replace it with larger diameter and longer spare tubing, say 5" or 6", inserting the existing tubing on its end then sealing it with vulcaseal by Bostik, then let dry completely.

After which you can apply or close the part na sininsil with ordinary concrete mix or you can use a fast setting cement/mortar by Thoro waterplug then seal it afterwards with Thoro Super waterseal. I think that shall do it and solve the problem. 😉 🙂

That would do for sure. hassle lang yung process for me dahil lalaki yung sisinsilin dyan. 😀 or baka OC lang siguro ako.:p

Re: electrical wiring

naku sir, ang hirap sinsilin ng poste, sobrang tigas:) at nasa gitna pa yung linya, hehehe or mali lang pagkakaintindi ko? kasi parang mas less hassle pag nag linya ng bago, mag cut lang ng mababaw para sa hose then semento ng konti. or mali yung intindi ko?

salamat po ulit!

Re: electrical wiring

@ seymorebutts,

Bro, I have stated several options to solve your dilemma, its up to you what ever way you will do it, you can take the easier way or the hard way but what is important is that you get those electrical wiring inside with ease, its your choice now, I cannot give anymore comments here.

I guess its time now to start working on your poste and accomplish what you want to achieve.

Good Luck to you on this project. :gun:

Re: electrical wiring

mukhang hindi aabot sir, mga 6ft kasi yung taas:(

SIR....i have a snake about 20 feet... i can lend u it... kung malapit ka sa area ko...

ngayon gawa na yung 3rd floor before it was just a roof deck.. so when we were about to insert the wiring.. basang basa pala ng tubig yung loob... eventually the basahan trick at the end of the snake did not do a good job...

using a vaccum cleaner with a 20 foot half inch wide clear hose did the trick.. =)
