I'm not sure if it falls under home repair pero since it involves some kind of woodwork baka pwede narin. 🙂 Anyway, I'm refinishing a 1976 Greco Telecaster and I've been unsuccessful in trying to get rid of the paint stains.
I tried Davies wood stain, ayaw pa rin. I tried sanding it, palalim na ng palalim, it's still there. I tried wet sanding with denatured alcohol, lacquer thinner and paint thinner mukhang walang pagbabago. Pano ba diskarte dito?

I tried Davies #1 pero walang epekto. According to the instructions, I still need #2 wood bleach kaso wala naman akong makita na Davies #2.
Any of you guys used Davies #2 wood bleach? Do I really need it, at para san ba ito?

It's a 2-part bleaching system. You'll need #2 to activate the bleach without it will not work. They are usually sold together. if you can't find 2-part bleach try other brands.
Re: How do I remove wood stain?
If you are unable to remove the stain, why not use a darker wood stain to hide the mark?

I'll just continue on this thread since almost the same topic.
Still need to remove paints in the nooks and crannies. What's the best way?
Dumb mistakes will always be dumb mistakes, unless . . . . you learn from it, and then it will be learning experience.

A specific bleach is available at any hardware shop easily and you can buy from them and cope such a stains.
Re: How do I remove wood stain?
When we bought our former home, I did not like the enamel-painted yellow door. So I stripped it. It still had paint in the nooks and crannies. After some sanding and bleaching, it looked good to me. The left-over paint actually gave the door a somewhat aged-look. Looked elegant so we kept it that way.
