Leaky Concrete Water Tank

We have a concrete water tank at our workplace. When it was installed, asphalt and concrete plaster (over screen) were used to make the tank waterproof. Through the years, water eventually runs out even if it was not practically used.

Any suggestions as to how to "waterproof" it again?

Re: Leaky Concrete Water Tank

I hope that tank is not for potable use. Asphalt is not food-grade.

In my company, when we have a leaking concrete reservoir, we engage a contractor to inject food-grade epoxy. IIRC, one of these contractors is called Alphatec.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I've already found out that the pipe going to the concrete reservoir was leaking. It was not the reservoir itself. And reservoir is not for drinking. It's for recirculating water that was used to cool plastic. But, i will keep Alphatec in mind if in case magka-problem ang water reservoir ko. Do you know how they compute the cost for injecting epoxy? Per cubic feet or square feet of area?
