Hi mga masters.., im looking for a material that could fll the gap (about 1" max) from the concrete wall to a newly installed shower enclosure.
Attached is a picture for reference. Should i use Skim Coat, white cement or boral compound? The easier, the better and if you could provide the instructions on how to prepare that specific mix to seal the gap, id highly appreciate it. Thanks !

PS (i still have some leftover skim coat, was wondering if i could use this)

thanks

Aluminum angle bar 1" superwhite ang kulay bili ka sa mga aluminum shop or fabricator. I notch or cut mo yun portion na tatama sa wooden spacer then rivets.

Gap is around 1" baka wala na kapitan yun blind rivets. You can use sealant to fix the aluminum angle. Aesthetic lang naman problem mo right?

for filling the gap, you can use spray foam (expanding foam). after it hardens, you can use a pen knife and sand paper to smoothen the area and some putty for the deep area. when applying the foam enclose the back and front with some cardboard and hold it down with clamps. cut 3-4 holes in the front cardboard large enough for the nozzle of the spray can to fit ...

its purely for aesthetic purposes. thanks for the suggestions, its very interesting.

alum angle bar - not an expert at cutting and dont know where to find nearby.

expanding foam - is this durable? expensive? is this sild at ace hardware?

id prefer filling it with "plaster" types if its doable since the materials are much more common.thanks!

expanding foam is quite durable as long as its not expose to heat or fire. its not that expensive, i bought my stock from SG a few months ago and it cost me $10 per can. ace should have it, look for it under insulation material ... cheers

Boo!
