Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
use construction net like this one..countour cover the tress under like a funnel - protect the trees clean dropping leaves etc from time to time..ive seen one in thailand village they cover their tress with nets to collect all dropped mangoes.
Cheers..
Also thought about this.
That's a good idea bro pyth for covering the tree dropping leaves, twigs and fruits, but I think doms would like also some roofing protection from exposure to rains and heat of the sun. Plus perhaps some tree saps that's usually acidic and can damage car's paint finish.

Reminder lang bros,
Bro joey81, miked and doms, its nice to have some light moments from time to time but lets stick with the main topic/subject.
Thanks :p :thanks:
Correct about the what you said sa tree saps and noted to sticking to the main topic. pinatulan ko lang yung trip nila joey at mike.. hehe! sorry wont do it again..
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
di din magtatagal ang lona considering na sa ilalam ng mangga ilalagay. aside sa mangga itself na malalaglag, yung natutuyong kahoy pa ang isa sa malaking problema. after a year or two, madali na mabubutas yung lona so in the long run, mas makakamura pa sa polycarbonate..mas durable pa at presentable.
take note, pwede din tanggalin yun if ever aalis na sa house, naka text screw lang. and besides, magagamit uli since collapsible yung tent itself so pwede iassemble sa paglilipatan.. another cent..;)

Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
AFAIK 2 klase available sa market. mas mura yung parang karton and design while yung parang corrugated mas mahal konte.
other side of the coin, mas mahal magpa repair ng dimple and paint ng car hehehehe
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
pag ako better to buy a tent... mahal rin ang car. pag na bagsakan yan mura na ang 4000 per panel..
at hassel pa sa oras mo..
dont buy yung mga light weight tent mabilis masira yan pag dumating ang bagyo.
BTW for best sudgestion pls take a good picture ng parking area mo.
but the best pa rin kung mag rent ka na lang ng parking. u never know when freak accident comes
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
ooppss. my bad. how about mga lumang yero na lang ke manong junkshop..vulcaseal at primer lang katapat. mahirap nga lang itransport kung lilipat man uli kayo.
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
If it was mine I'd go with the lona used to cover cargo trucks. It can take a beating and can defininitely survive a green projectile.
You can buy it sa Binondo.
For the frame another option is 2nd hand 1 1/2 GI pipes used in construction. Joined by swivel clamps. When its time to kove you can disassemble it and assemble again in the new place.
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
go for sir joey's suggestion..madali lang gawin at i set para ka lang nagtatayo ng scafolding.
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
Yung lona or trapal available near 168 sa divisoria. It it almost infront of the big nice mall ( forgot the name) before you turn left going to 168

Where can I get 2nd hand GI pipes and swivel clamps at how much?

Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
Bro Doms,
You will not find secondhand pipes from hardware stores, you will have to source these used pipes from scrap yards or junk shops that sells them by the kilo.
With regards to swivel clamps you will have to get them brand new from mall hardware stores or popular home depots. If you find them at junk shops, sigurado ako sirang sira na mga yun !!! :p 😉

Hanap ka sa sulit.
There's one seller in Pasig that sells 2nd hand GI pipe. A 20-fr 1 1/2 is 700 yata.
For the swivel clamp the cheapest I saw was 48/pc sa may Quezon Ave cor BMA Ave.
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
sir doms,
I had that same predicament several years back, building a temporary shelter made of tolda under a 40 year old mango tree, though mine is for the laundry area.
I used recycled lumber for the frames and posts pero kinailangan ko nang palitan ang mga posts last year.
Some shops there are open even on Sundays pero half day lang.
I had it constructed around 8 years ago kaya siempre mukhang lumang-luma na ngayon pero buo pa rin ang tolda at wala pa ring leaks or cracks. It actually survived the storm Milenio unscathed.
Hope this helps.
Re: Parking below a mango tree, tips
id go for the lowly tolda...
how long do you intend to stay there bro? kung mga 5 years, eh sulit na din siguro 10K investment sa DIY or commercial parking canopy.
kung 1 year lang, eh mag car cover na lang and trim mango tree branches every so often.
