Im an Architect by proffesion. I previously worked in Hong Kong for a couple of years before moving here in the US last year. And next year, I'll be moving back again in China for another architectural position. What got me into being a DYIer? Blame it on Amazon's deep discout on tools! And aided by video tutorial on youtube, heck, I thought I could make these myself.
I have a house being built in Isabela and being a design architect I want to have that personal touch in turning my home into something that me and my wife likes. The tools that I recently acquired will be utilized only during work vacation (once-a-year uurghh!) which I imagine myself spending most of the time with. I also love to paint (oil on canvas and water color), but this time, I need far bigger than chinese brush for the interiors, so I got myself a sprayer from Graco, one being the airless sprayer Magnum X5 and the other an HVLP type. The first time I painted my house' interiors, I did it in 3 days - thats because I couldn't get anybody in our place to do paintng job. (Kung meron man taga sa kontrata tapos pakainin mo pa sila ng breakfast at meryenda) And I painted only 2 rooms. I promised myself, the next time I'll do this painting assignment, I'll have it in 1 hour.
I cant wait to use these tools whilst improving my house. Next thing is to look for supplier of good lumber near Isabela.
About those tools shops posted in another thread, I'll definitely visit one of them in January. Big thanks for coming with the idea of compiling them. Cheers!
