Hi everyone. I just joined this group and I'm already thankful to the people who started this and the people who keep sharing their knowledge/experience.
I'm a hopeful DIY guy who actually DIY'ed most stuff at my home but very very simple and mundane stuff.
I'm hoping to improve my skills on wood, metal and everything under the sun though I have limited time to do stuff when on vacation...OFW dilemma.

I used to have more tools than skills and at present what's left after lending them (only the tools 🙂 , offered my skills but turned down hehe ) is the rusty skills.
I know that to work properly and efficiently proper tools are required, thus, I'm now in the process of looking for power tools to purchase.
I'm setting my eyes on Makita.

Any suggestions where to buy authentic genuine Makita powertools ?
Mayon Construction is said to be the official distributor in Philippines, anyone have experienced dealing with them and how about the pricing?
There are tons of Makita's in OLX but how can I be sure if they are not counterfeit?
Or should I buy here in Bahrain where the price is 30-40% cheaper (if I compare to Lazada.com adverts) and definitely genuine but warranty may not cover if used in Philippines.

Thank you in advance to those who will reply and apologies to those people who got their eyes sore by reading this long intro. Cheers !!

Welcome to PHM bro, do enjoy your stay

Good choice of brand, Makita has been known as a heavy duty provider of industrial grade power tools.
If you can buy them there in Bahrain and as you said, 30-40% cheaper compared here in the Phil., then go go go buy them.

Buhay OFW kulang sa oras at salat sa salapi.

I'm back in Bahrain but last month I ended up buying my powertools in Goldpeaktools near Espana.
Got a Makita 5086B Circular Saw, 9556NB grinder and 2414NB cutoff; got to be able to use them the following day on a small home project. Looks like these tools will last. Will save more to get the next items on my list.

I also bought a cheap heatgun from DCA, looks decent enough to do the job but I don't know whether it will last.

Finally, reading reviews about welding machines here helped me decide on what to buy. I bought HITRONIC 250 Amp DC inverter IGBT welder. This one will be used more often...when I'm home 🙂 .
Next big purchase on my list is a 2hp or 3hp Air Compressor. Mainly be using it for painting and basic pneumatic tools (e.g. nailgun) ... Is Vespa really good for the buck? How about powerstar, swan air or airbank? Or good 2nd hand will do?

Cheers.

Introduction of the member and all clients is done for the serving factors for the people. The joy of the man and customessayorder is approved for the fundamental proponents in the field. The actual term is done for the dusting items for the introduced mail members of the field.
