Hi everyone! Like many before me, I first stumbled upon this site while searching for supplies for a project (in my case, a workbench still in progress). There's a lot of useful information here and it's great to see so many folks willing to hand out plenty of sound advice, so keep up the good work!
I'm a casual/novice DIYer for now, but I find woodworking quite interesting and enjoyable. Ultimately I would like to develop my skills to where I can build a Roubo workbench someday (emphasis on "someday") 🙂 I'm still gathering basic handtools.
I stay in Pasig right along Ortigas ave. Hopefully I can learn more from you guys (I've got a lot to learn at this point!)
Re: Hi everyone! Newbie from Pasig
Hello Randy!
You're very much welcome here, I'm quite new here myself.
The administrators, moderators here and many of the regular guys are really helpful and friendly too. Hope you enjoy your stay and we can all learn lots and lots together. 😉
Re: Hi everyone! Newbie from Pasig
Hi!
Welcome to this forum. I am also new in this forum but I find it to be a very warm community of people whose passion and love for DIY are compelling. The regulars here (Timber, Beebeenator, JayL, Moji, to name a few) are always there to help out. If you have a question, a day will not pass that you will not get a reply.
I saw your post in the "Woodworking" segment. Just like you, I am just starting to get fascinated with woodworking and is starting to build my suite of power tools. For now, I have a drill, CMS, router, jigsaw, circular saw and spray paint. How I wish I can have the more serious power tools and appliances like TS, thicknesser and jointer but I neither have the money nor the space to justify getting them.
Cheers!
