Just wanted to intro myself to this wonderful board.

I have always been a DIYer at heart, thing is, I don't have the luxury of time.

I am very much interested in wood working but I can't even saw a plywood
in half properly even if I use my old man's "pitik" cable to make a guide line.

I then bought a jigsaw to ease up on my task... same freakin' result.:(
I looked at the jigsaw and wondered if it had whiskey in it as the cut line
was veering left or right.

I have nailed things together and with disgusting results!

All I do is curse and get disappointed. 😡

I have dropped the desire to work on wood and will now shift to metal works.

Wala akong talent sa woodworking and probably I will be luckier with metal.

I am a car freak and I will surely benefit from the gurus here on any aspect of
DIYing... all the best and God Bless Us All.

Re: Musta Po Sa Lahat!

welcome welcome, tell you something, my woodworking started from my love for cars when i was still in college.

my first power tool was a jigsaw cutter, bought it cause i needed help making my baffles build for my car. i use to own a 1987 SL lancer and i was trying to set up the sounds myself cause i didnt have money to have it done professionally.

from there i graduated to more wood working projects

as bro rosy says, don't get disappointed right away,
we also share the same experiences, getting disappointed for not getting the results you want
in cutting a plywood...
in fact, you learned from your mistakes, and it will take constant practices.

in actuality, mahirap talaga mag cut ng plywood in half accurately,
as far as i know the best way to cut sheet goods is by way of a circular saw with an aid of an straightedge.

cheer up brad don't get frustrated, who knows, baka maging future master craftsman ka like brad ernie S...
read, lurk, ask and practice...

Re: Musta Po Sa Lahat!

WoW!

There's nothing more I can say but this is indeed a friendly board!

Eyeball na kagad!!!

dala ako black label... excuse me baka may member ng "friends of..." dito.

my question lang siguro for today that might require anyone's speedy answer
would be, what welding machine to buy?

i asked money from the wife and was freakin' out...

she said, "anong miller? bakit? marunong ka ba magwelding?"

honestly I got hurt and I told myself one day I'll build you (wife) a Montero Sport
out of wrought iron!

so before I go ballistic on my wife - would the DC welder I saw at YALE
be good enough?

the only info was that it was 200amps, made in... who knows...

so help please

PS

Si JayL daming nagagawa - inggit me (text talk )

Ernie - ikaw used to own - ako I still own one... stuck in the 80's ako LOL!!!
my daily is a '59 beetle due for repairs na din!

Thank you gentlemen for the warm reception!

Dan

Re: Musta Po Sa Lahat!

not really savvy with internet/forum lingo...
what would SWMBO mean?
alam ko lang "unlipops" dun sa PSP/extremeoverdose.com...
not that I am a patron may nag link lang...
times have changed...
dati one has to go to bars and try to get lucky...
then pagnagmamadali, Quezon Ave or Malate
pambihira... ngayon on line! may pictures/prices and what to expect!

ano na ba nangyari sa mundo.
eto pa pala...
I went to church yesterday-St. Jude
Sabi ng pari... "magsiluhod po tayo"
as soon as my knees hit the pew and my elbows landed
I bowed down and saw the young lady in front of me
kneeling down and her "T" got exposed.
A battalion of stallions were running around my mind...
I was derailed.
Buti na lang I can ask for forgiveness right then and there!
Whew!!!
back then the women even wear "belo"
ngayon si Belo nagpapalaki ng eherm...
sorry nagulo na thread na ito

later gents!
