Hi Everyone,
So I'm the new guy here.
Just a few words to introduce myself.
I'm 64 years young and retired from Uk.
I served my 5 year apprenticeship in Uk, working for my father.
Then had the opportunity to go to Uni. to study architecture.
I've worked (as a carpenter) in Saudi Arabia, Antarctic, and for myself in South Africa.
Now here and want to build a bit of furniture for our own flat. Things are a bit different here so I will be asking for advise on where to get stuff, and substitutes in stead of.
look forward to reading some interesting posts, and if anybody would like to offer gratuitous advise, that's just fine.

Re: New guy on the block

Welcome home, Frank!

You will be happy here. I also took up woodworking again a few years ago as I finally make enough to afford some tools. Since then, I found this site rich with learning and full of nice friends.
