Magandang gabi po sa lahat, new bie lang po from San Pedro, Laguna. Though wala pang alam sa woodworking, sana marami akong matutunan dito. I am currently now in Afghanistan, hopefully pagkatapos ng kontrata ko dito eh makapag pundar na ng mga tools. Marami pong salamat.

welcome Axel to PHM, learning is easier with practice... having said that, try acquiring whatever small woodworking tool you can put your hands on there. a chisel set would be nice and start a little carving...

For a change, maybe you could also give us some overview of the usual handyman items there in Afghanistan, woodworks if there are 😉

everytime i hear the word Afghanistan, i imagine a vast wasteland devastated by years of war and kalashnikov sporting Talibans and heroine addicts.

but i know of the beauties that lies still within these poor country.

Thank you guys for welcoming me, violaine is right this country is a wasteland. No more trees, all you can see is a vast land of deserts but rich in minerals. I have yet to see a skilled afghan in terms of woodworking. Most we have here are unskilled and illiterate. Our company was contracted to maintain all Afghan National Army base, most work request are broken door knobs, broken faucets and showers and clogged toilets. Guess they don't know how to use this properly.
