Good afternoon guys. I am a virgin in the field of welding. Though I've seen a lot of tutorials, I have yet to try it out on my newly purchased welder (Hitronic TIG200A). I plan to initially use the ARC welding features of my machine first before going into TIG since stick welding is a bit less complicated. I am into bike building by the way (customizing motorcycles)...and every time I have a little project, I go to the local welder to do welding jobs for me. If I'm lucky enough, I hope I can be as skilled as you guys are in terms of proper welding techniques. Cheers!
Hi kennethpasia,
Welcome to the PHM Forum and thanks for your intro.:welcome: Yes using stick process is so less expensive than the other welding processes but you just have to do a lot of practice welding, yup a lot of practice on scrap metals cuz its a bit tricky controlling and handling that electrode holder and applying those good looking weld beads.
But to tell you the truth, if you are into bike building and customizing, its the Tig process that is usually used or applied specially welding thin surface material. Stick welder if more often used for thicker surfaces.
Well anyway do enjoy your stay and we'd also like to see too your customizing results if you are willing to share them here.
Cheers and have fun with your new toy !

Thank you sir. Yes, I plan to use TIG as my primary welding method, however, practice muna ko sa stick just to get my feet wet on the field of welding. I will definitely share my initial results as I am open to opinions and suggestions on how to do things properly. Salamat sa warm welcome. More power to PHM!
