Newbie here from BF Paranaque.

I've been visiting this site for quite sometime now and just decided to join the site just now. I find this site very interesting and has learned a lot from the different topics. Not all my friends are the "Do It Yourself" types and can't really relate with me.

More power to this site and to the members as well.

Thanks

Re: Noob from BF Paranaque

Thanks for the welcome timber715. I'm in to Market Research and used to stay in the US and now back to my motherland. Married with one kid.

Have a passion for Vespa's. I also do all mechanical works on it. Basically restoration too. We have a shop for parts and services here at BF Paranaque.

I would like to have more knowledge on wood and metal works. Do you know of a workshop? Planning to put up a small furniture shop that combines iron and wood.

Cheers.

Re: Noob from BF Paranaque

First do you have a nickname or would mid, midnight or toker would suffice? I have a small shop which houses my tools and works but is still intended for hobby use. Unless you can develop a market for your stuff, furniture making is a business that is very difficult to earn from. Why not do as I do and get works from online in different forums first until you are certain that it is for you to start up...
lowend work results to one time deals and die shortly, midend work is often much better for the budget oriented buyers but often requires the same work as a highend work. the only difference is highend work demands higher prices too which in the long term can be very good or very detrimental to a business...
cheers

Re: Noob from BF Paranaque

Hi Bro timber715. Toker would be fine. The truth is, it is all for the hobby and personal satisfaction. I also did some thinking on what you've mentioned, it really is hard to do this as a business. And I know for a fact that it takes years of experience too. I have to find out also if this is my thing. Like all the things I've tried out.. lol.

Thanks for the advise bro. I admire your work and looking forward to the next.

Cheers!
