Tech Superstar turns interests to Wood and Steel as Hobby - Malolos, Bulacan

Hi Guys,

I thought I made my introduction here buy hey! I'm Lito 35 y/o, father of two I owned and managed my small tech company and I have small knowledge of software and hardware that fit enough to start on own business way back 2006.

Once upon a time, I'm thinking what kind of hobby can I do without getting out and watch my baby at the same time.. its so happen that I purchased my first cordless drill and the kulam started there when I also joined cab1 last yer, its a neverending kulaman there, Twice a week almost I went to panda to buy woodworking tools small and big Im browsing their website all day! just to check kung ano pa kulang ko (na I can afford)

I bought my first Bosch cordless last year and it turn out crazy when I watched youtube and it started my addiction to wood with the span of 2-3 months I acquired a lot of tools enough to pack my 1 car garage I almost park my car outside just to fit my stationary tools, some of the tools are, bosch table saw and mitre saw, drill press, 4 pcs. bosch cordless drills, bosch trim and full size routers, bosch cs with guide rails dewalt auto planers, aov 14"bandsaw, 2hp swan compressor and a lot of small stuff to mention, 80% of my stuff are from Panda, right now I'm just building the jigs and organizing my workplace/garage putting drawers and cabinet and my tools just to gain more knowledge on the small things and lately and I'm attracted to metal and planning to score the millermatic 190 hopefully this month.

I hope this is a good introduction.. 🙂

Hello avmanansala,

Welcome to the PHM Forum Lito,:welcome: yes once you start having an interest or a hobby, you start spending for it little by little and before you know it, you will be full of different what nuts and stuffs in your garage, point is it makes you happy because you know you can make somethings with your own hands and efforts. You can even start a business with it as you start gaining confidence with your output projects.

By the way, thanks for a very nice introductions, you laid it out well, how you started and what you wanted to achieve with the assortment of woodworking tools you have accumulated. Well having an interest with metals, hehehe, this will be another of those times that you will be spending lots of money again buying a welder/s plus lots and lots of metal working accessories like safety gears, power tools, clamps etc plus lots of practice plates, oh forget not the argon mix cO2 tank and mig wires.

Well have a great time enjoying your new found hobby cuz all of us here are also having great times with our own.
Enjoy your stay and I am sure you will get lots and lots of tips you can use for your projects, wood or metals.:thumbup:

avmanansala, welcome to PHM. i know the feeling of being excited in learning a new hobby 🙂 ... having a lot of new tools in a short period of time, one tends to use it immediately without taking time to understand how to use the tools safely ... i highly recommend that you spend some time to understand how to safely use your tools, especially the big ones (e.g. table saw) by reading the manual and practise it until it becomes second nature to you ... there are also a lot of videos in the internet about the safe use of your tools you can watch ... SAFETY FIRST ... cheers
