Hi guys, good day to all...

Am planning to practice stick welding (my yamato is busy collecting dust for almost 2 years) but I need to ensure proper protection of my eyes considering my actual occupation. I have read the ADH thread and got some ideas already but it seems it is no longer updated for new products possibly available in the market today.
Having said, I am hoping for recommendations or reviews from you guys and masters for a good bang for the buck ADH which will suit the needs of a noob like me. Bang for the buck does not necessarily mean i will opt for the lowest cost but the features the ADH would give in relation to its price.

Many thanks and regards to all..
Phezthie

Problem with ADH in the Philippines is the limited choice/brands. We have lots of china-made generic ADH (under different brands but basically the same). I've seen a couple of branded ones in olx (3M speedglass) but only for 1 unit for a hefty price.

Mine was bought through ebay from China. Used it once and the response time is satisfactory. I have yet to use it for longer period so I cannot judge its eye protection capability.

standard feature like shade and delay control. For the price I got it for 2500 at goldpeak. There is also one at panda for 2K though I can't remember the brand.

Well we only have a pair of eyes so why settle for a very cheap welding hood even though its just for DIY.
A good welding hood has to be light, with various adjustable shades and grinding mode. I prefer the adjusting knobs
to be outside of the helmet and probably with a reputable name or identity.backed with guarantees. Yes most if not all,
ADH sold in the Philippines are imports from China, there are cheap ones and there are also some that are pricey, select
the best you can find.

Do more research on YouTube about welding helmets, watch them videos so you may familiarize yourself with the
features included in the helmet. Always remember, you pay cheap, you get cheap and poor quality helmet.

Good luck on your purchase ! :goodluck:

The adjustment knob of the hitronic ADH is outside the helmet so you can easily adjust the knob while wearing the helmet.
